so i been study for a good two months and then 8/5/08 was myday to take the DAT. my question how badly did i mess up. I know that a retake is in order but even so well let me but my score and you can rrip all you want.

I am sorry you had a bad day... But I will say shoot for the stars on your retake! I shot for straight 22s on mine.... even though when i started studying I got a 15 on my Kaplan Diagnostic (less than 2 months before my DAT) and i started to think id be happy with a 19... but I kept pushing and said "19 wont do" and while I didnt get 22s across I am happy I didnt settle for 19.

Hopefully it was a learning experience. A huge improvement on your next DAT (which is definitely needed) will wow the admission board 😀

think 40-50% retake anyways.

Submit your application and retake the DAT. Don't waste time beating yourself up and asking others to do the same. You know what you have to work on...just get it done.👍

Take ample time to retake. DO NOT RUSH. I was going to rush into taking my again and I didn't. THANK GOD. I took it this summer (after a year) and dedicated the whole summer to it. No distractions or interruptions from class or anything. I ended up getting a 21 Academic Avg, TS 22, PAT 20...I didn't do so hot the first time lol.

So, basically don't rush...it will hurt more if you don't improve 2nd time around.

study hard, aim high! you may have to devote your life to studying for this, it is your future! i don't know what materials you used to study, but go over the forums and see what other people have used. we're here to help each other! good luck and i'm sure you'll find success the second time around 🙂

Well don't get too upset just yet. Take it again but this time prepare differently so that you can improve your score. I would reccomend getting a copy of DAT DESTROYER as soon as possible. I'm telling you its worth it and you will definately see a difference in your next score.
