🙁 well... this did not go AT ALL like i expected it to.... Anyways, my scores are:

PAT: 22
QR: 17
RC: 19
Bio: 17
GChem: 25
OChem: 19
TS:19
AA:19

My GPA is a 3.66, with a BCP of 3.55. I have done research, volunteer work, and ive been a dental assistant for three years. I already submitted my application so it should get sent out with the first batch to all of my designated schools.

I am just really upset... I feel like these scores are NOT representative of my usual academic performance at all....

I REALLY need some advice.. should i re-take??? Im a CA resident and I really want to get in to a school in California. Do I even have a chance anymore????

HELP 🙁

hey you did well. Don't be too hard on yourself. But, you might want to retake if you are trying to go to UCLA or UCSF. It's really your call. You shoul call the schools or keep checking stats.

What were your practice scores like and what practice tests were you using? Maybe they were inaccurate representations or maybe you just got scared? Is Bio your weakest subject usually?

For all of the sciences I used DAT Achiever, Kaplan and Topscore. I went through literally EVERY exam on the Kaplan site.

For Bio, I went through all the exams and all of the answers. I was never GREAT at it.... I was getting around 18 or 19 pretty consistently. I did not have Destroyer so I am not sure if thats why my Bio score is so low.... I know Destroyer helps a lot.

Both UCLA and UCSF have pretty high averages for DAT (about 21). To be competitive I would suggest taking the test again. I think Destroyer helped me alot for the gchem and orgo, but not in particular for the Bio section.

I don't think you should worry. Your scores may not be competitive enough for UCLA, but I think (considering your relatively high GPA) you have a good shot at schools like UCSF, USC, Western, and Loma Linda. You're applying early, so you definitely have a good chance at some Cali schools.

Good Luck👍
