Hi I took DAT yesterday night
It was really rough~
I dont think I did well and I think I might have to retake it

My score was

PAT14 -- 12.2%
QR 15 -- 48.9%
RC 14 6.1%
Bio 17 55.7%
GC 20 86.0%
OC 19 75.7%
TS 18 70.2%
AA 17 55.8 %

My undergraduate major was Mathematics and computer scinece
minor was Visual Art and Chemistry
But my QR is so low, and I did not know word problems.
I am from forein country and RC was so hard for me.
Is there any Dental school I can get in to with this score? 😕
If not should I retake the exam? T T Please give me advise.
MY college GPA was 3.0 and I failed Basic Macitosh for visual art classes and get many C from art courses. And get A's on Diffrential Equeation, Calc. Ochem was about B- Chem B bio B during college year

I think you're gonna need to retake the exam. But on a positive note, you did well on your TS section.

^ Agree with above post. You will need to retake. Your rc score is really low, is English your 2nd language? Also, your PAT score is low and so is math. But math I think the score you have you can get away with it

Practice reading science articles and maybe approach the reading section with a new strategy. Did you use the SD method?

Is that mean There is no way I can get into Any Dental School in America?
Any?

I mean there is always a chance but with that low of a rc many schools may be hesitant to give you an acceptance b/c they may feel you would have a hard time grasping the material.

Unfortunately not with a 3.0 gpa =/. Usually if you have in the lower 3's you need to do 20+ at least to get an interview. You may need to do some sort of master's program or just retake the DAT. But if you have the money you should apply cause you never know, times are changing and with the economy sucking usually only people who can afford dental school are gunna be able to go which I wouldn't be surprised if it lowered the acceptance stats of the more expensive schools.

Just some tips for the DAT you should get the kaplan blue book, MCAT audio osmosis for biology review, and Crack Dat for pat, rc, and math. The math on the DAT is more problem solving than it is extensive memorization like calculus so everything you learned in college is not gunna help you there. You just need to brush up on the basics that everyone forgets as if you were on "are you smarter than a 5th grader" because they ask those kinds of questions: algebra, probability, trig, and geometry. You probably just underestimated it as a math major.
