Hi All,
Just thought I would share some info on the DAT. I took it 10-10-08. The bio section was definitely random stuff. I am a bio major and there were questions that I have never seen before. This was my second time taking the DAT and I believe they have made it harder. My first DAT (bio section) didn't have any hormone questions and this one seemed to have several hormone questions. Fortunately, I was comfortable with the hormones. I did okay, but only because I am a bio major. I can't remember one plant or phylum question on the whole bio section. This actually shocked me. The ochem was the easiest part. Know the destroyer road maps and you will do well. I ran out of time with the gchem because it was mostly calculations. I have seen posts on here where people said they had little calculating, but this was not the case for me. The reading section was actually very easy. It was very factual, but they did have "author's opinion" questions etc. at the end and I had to guess on these because I used search and destroy. I think there were atleast 6-7 questions like this...Math...what do I say? It just seems there is no good way to study for math besides working on your speed and doing several word problems. Also remember those formulas (for example 180(n-2)...
I used Kaplan and Destroyer (along with practice exams, flashcards and some personal notes)
Good luck to you all!
By the way...my study materials are listed for sale in the classified section if anyone is interested.
