Hey guys first of all i just want to thank every single one of u for all the help these last few months...its seriously been a TRIP!
Breakdown:
PAT-17 (42.4%) so embarrassed by this 👎
QR- 14 (32.9 %) I HATE MATH (jk, just pissed that i suck at it 😛)
RC- 19 (67.6%)
Bio- 18 (72.1%)
GC- 25 (98.9%)
OC- 21 (89.7%)
TS- 20 (91.3%)
AA- 19 (85.4%)
3.0 cGPA and 3.3 sGPA
A little background...I was never a good student in high school nor was I at the beginning of college i was really confused as to which direction i wanted to take my life and even contemplated to drop out of college to work full time so i could help my single mom who works 2 jobs. When I finally snapped out of my lull i found myself with a dismal 2.1 gpa...I suppose the lack of guidance is what hurt me...I lost my father at the age of five whilst battling leukemia (ive been in remission since the age of 6) My doctors told me that the chemo I received is what caused me to have ADHD and later ADD...however I never used this as a crutch and always took tests in school with my classmates rather than alone and untimed...same goes for this DAT. SO i basically decided that I wanted to have my cake and eat it too so I chose school over dropping out and also worked, I'm an EMT and I work in Jewelry Sales. Anyways that's enough with the background onto the breakdown!
PAT- First of all right towards the end of sciences my worst fear came to life (I had to pee so frikkin badly) I finished sciences with 13 min left and had to decide: bathroom or go back and look at marked questions luckily i chose to go back and i caught a few errors in GC...anyways I used CDP....i ranged between 18-20 the keyholes were comparable to CDP but after knocking it down to two choices the two were so hard to distinguish..TFE idk how to feel about it some seemed easy some not so easy...angles will ALWAYS be angles lol...hole punches were HARD id be getting 13-14/15 on CDP on hole punches....cubes also seemed weird there were more cubes than ppl said there would or so I thought...i had a few phantom cubes...I had 7 min left going into patterns so i had to make very quick choices some, were very simple tho...ie dice and the big pieces where u find the most unique aspect and go with that. Overall I am upset with this section.
QR- MATH, where do I begin? I was never good at math and I maybe didn't prepare as much as I should have but I used math destroyer, and only got up to 7/11 tests i ranged between 18-25/40 right (timed)...the test seemed SOO much easier than Math destroyer but one or two word problems got me in a hole. I was on # 20 with 10 minutes to go, so i started speeding! there were 2 or 3 temp conversion probs (all F to C) the computational problems seemed simple but the word problems ate me alive.
RC- I don't know about anyone else who has had an issue with RC but today i found that there was a question i believe in the second passage that wasnt in the passage I looked endlessly for it I hope after an audit this will make a difference in my favor...I had passages on aging, gene therapy and telomerase. My method was to read for keywords in the questions for 2-3 min then read the passage and as I came across words i recognized i would go answer the questions...sometimes when i felt like i was in the groove reading I'd read a few paragraphs without answering a question.
BIO- I felt so weird during this section...yes VERY RANDOM...I had a question on the cretaceous period wtf?!?! I laughed it off and just made a nice educated guess...there were a couple mendelian questions, and a few other molecular genetics questions the rest were just strange I don't remember much from this section but I can tell u almost all questions and answers from the chemistries lol...I used cliffs ap bio, and examkrackers...both a waste I wish i hadn't spent anytime on bio and put more of that time into QR...I'm a bio major so i thought i had good background but this garbage they peddle is NOT bio don't let them fool u haha.
GC- CHAD, Destroyer and my love for chemistry lol...this section seemed really simple but on some calculations I was stumped...only when i came back after OC did I find my errors and changed them in the clutch...I would say overall i had 5 calculation questions one on the H+ conc of an acid, and others lol...I was getting about 80% right on destroyer...definitely use destroyer the calculation problems are annoying but they help u prepare for this battle. Chad is the X-factor here...
OC- CHAD, Destroyer and more love for organic...although i did a little less than GC, I really thought this was my strongest section throughout all of studying... ROAD MAPS ROAD MAPS ROAD MAPS!!! I think destroyer is is KEY here they don't call Romano orgoman for nothing lol , I was getting about 53% (first half of orgo on destroyer) right before I made flash cards of all the rxn's on the roadmaps I reviewed the cards a total of 3 times after making them and it helped SOOO MUCH...after this I started getting 80% right in orgo (second half of orgo on destroyer) Destroyer is definitely the X-factor here.
I must say that the orgo section is a complete JOKE...I think the reason why I got a 21 and not higher on it was bc after a few questions i was cracking up at how BASIC it is I didn't even look at all answer choices sometimes and didn't read the question fully...so yeah I got cocky and it cost me a higher score on this so I kinda regret it but oh well can't do anything now. Even though I said its so basic do not take it lightly during studying the only reason why it seemed so basic was bc I devoted myself to preparing right for it so everyone should put the pedal to the floor on chemistries they are by far the easiest sections to score high in...

I know my math and PAT are not so hot but I'm satisfied with my TS and especially GC 😀...
