Hey everyone. I just wanted to ask people who took the DAT more than once if you thought there were easier versions of the test esp. with the PAT and quant. sections. when i first took the DAT i earned a 17 PAT and an 18 quant. The PAT was a lot harder than i expected and the quant were all word problems that took a minute to just set up. The second time I took the test I got a 23 PAT😎 and a 24 Quant😀 . Aside from a couple old Princeton Review practice tests, I really didn't study for these sections too much during the 3 month hiatus btwn tests b/c I wanted to focus more on the sciences. Did anyone else encounter this?

If the test was harder the first time the curve would have helped you out...maybe you got lucky the second time in the sense that you just received questions you knew or just happened to guess well. It generally works itself out when there are easier or harder versions of the test.

the second time i took the test i recognized questions from the first time that i most likely got wrong. besides those couple of questions i got a completely different test. same pat hardness, same math hardness, harder reading the second time (but that just depends on the readings).
