Hi guys,

IN the personal essay, should I tell all the good things about me, or also explaination about what bad things I had in school too.

-- I had a very bad time in couple years where I was on probation in 2 diiff school ( for my engineer major). but since I get back to Bio Maj, my term GPA was 3.4+ for the last 2 years.

-- Any recommend is help

thanks

There was not an essay part on the DAT when I took it. Do you mean AADSAS? I would talk about both on the essay, how you were wondering aimlessly in engineering and then got focused on dentistry so switched to bio. They like to see academic positive progress. Make sure that your grades from here on out back up what you say.

I agree with the last, especially if you were put on academic probation. As long as your grades turned around when you switched, you can easily use your rocky history to your advantage. I wouldn't use up too much space talking about it though. Maybe 3 or 4 sentences on what you originally planned to do, why you failed, and that moment when you turned it around. Then write about all you've accomplished since then.
The problem will be how those engineering grades are going to bring down your overall and science GPAs. You'll have to offset that by taking a lot of units and scoring well. Perhaps even beyond your graduation.
