I struggled tremendously on the general chemistry section and I'm not sure why. For this subject I mainly studied using the Kaplan blue book and I don't think it prepared me well. I only went through half of the general chemistry questions from the destroyer and maybe that is where more time should have been spent. Does anyone have any advice on studying for general chemistry? I am going to be re-taking it in 3 months. I am not satisfied turning this score in with my application next year.

Does anyone have personal experience using Chad's videos for this subject?

As far as math goes, It's not my favorite subject. I am going to take a trig class this fall to help with that. Advice on math tools?

I got the same score as you on the GC section and I only used KBB also. Now i'm using Chad's and it covers basically the same topics that the book covers - except- Chad is an awesome teacher and it all makes sense. He covers topics in a way that you can think about it logically w/o having to do any calculations. This alone has helped me tremendously. IMHO and many others here also would say get chads videos.

I think literally 99.99% of people on SDN who scored well on the DAT recommend Chad's videos. Did you not know about him before your test? That stinks.

Get Chads and Math Destroyer and DAT destroyer. DAT boot camp is what helped me the most with GC

I heard about Chad's videos but I really didn't think it would make that much of a difference... I figured Kaplan would cover the same material and it would be redundant...
