I took the DAT today, and am very glad to have it behind me. My scores are:

Perceptual Ability: 23
Quantitative Reasoning: 23
Reading Comprehension: 21
Biology: 22
General Chemistry: 19
Organic Chemistry: 19
Total Science: 20
Academic Average: 21

GPA is alright- 3.42 overall, 3.5 sciences. Extracurriculars aren't that strong. I used the Kaplan book and topscore as study materials for the test.

Excellent scores and wow on the QR! Way to go, thats definitely the highest QR I've seen on here yet, everyones lowest section is the QR, including mine! You're in good shape for the cycle!

Great job! Now go relax and enjoy the sun.

BTW, how long did u study days/months/hrs and resources. Thanks!

did u have the piano reading passage?

Yes, I did have the piano passage. Wasn't as horrible as people seem to make it out to be. It did take me longer than the other passages, but it wasn't God-aweful.

Great job! Now go relax and enjoy the sun.

I studied on and off for a couple months, I guess. Pretty intensely with the Kaplan book for the first month (2 hours a day while still in school and studying for my other classes... felt intense anyways 🙂), then started taking practice tests when school got out, referring to textbooks and the kaplan book when I came across a question that I did not understand. Took a couple weeks off of studying before the test, except for the last three days, when I took the Topscore pro tests.

I still need to write out my personal statement in order to e-submit... have been slacking on that. Ah well, almost done with the application process. 😀
