Well, after skulking around on the forum for the past 6 years, and after being on the verge of a nervous breakdown for the last 3 weeks it is finally my turn.
PA 22 93.8%
QR 19 92.9%
RC 21 88.9%
Bio 21 95.5%
GC 29 99.9%
OC 28 99.5%
TS 24 99.7%
AA 24 99.9%
My main resource was Destroyer. I did use kaplan blue book for biology, but that honestly didn't do much good. Reading half of Cliffs AP Bio in the past two days did me more good than Kaplan. If I could go back I would have done all the destroyer problems and done all the chapter tests from the mcgraw-hill website. Besides that, what can I say? There were a bunch of really general questions on the major bio topics, and a few specific ones that I kind of doubt I could have answered if I had my text book with me.
For PA, QR, and RC I didn't do much to prepare. I did 40 QR problems from destroyer (very handy), and took 2 kaplan practice tests (meh). Probably from my lack of preparation more than anything else I had time issues with all three sections, especially RC. Didn't have much of a strategy and it probably shows.
One issue I had was with the new calculator. Looks like windows calculator, doesn't function like windows calculator. It was so bad that it was more of a hindrance on some problems.
For Gen Chem, and O-Chem I still had some note cards from when I took the classes, and I used those quite a bit, but it was really destroyer that made the difference. For the past two weeks I did 100 problems from each section a day, checked what I got wrong and made new cards on the subject. Looking back at my papers it's kind of funny to see how many times I got the same problems wrong. Yesterday I did all of the Gen Chem and O-Chem problems again, got about 10 wrong on each section and did them this morning before I left. Compared to the problems in Destroyer, both sections were really basic. It only took me about 50 minutes to do the entire science section, and that was with going back over all 40 bio questions.
All in all I am extremely happy with the scores (except QR). Now hopefully I can get a decent draft of my personal statement done and have my app submitted in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for all the help. This forum is great.
