DAT finished but dont know if its better

Hi just took my DATs today and it was a little disappointing.
First DAT I scored PA 20, TS 19, AA 19, RC 20, QR 19, BIO 18, Chem 19, Ochem 18

Today I scored PA 25, TS 20, AA 19, RC 17, QR 16, BIO 19, Chem 23, Ochem 19

I am really mad about my Reading comp and QR and i dont kno if its actually worse because i scored lower in the two areas. I swore i took a 10 min break from my 15 minute break and the clock already started and went 4 mins into the rc. So i rushed my passage and i felt like i was agaisnt the clock the whole time. I guess my low confidence carried on into the QR. Hope what i did was better i kno my PAT improced a lot.

o yea my gpa is cum 3.27, and sci is 3.39. What are my chances? any comments?

you might have to do it again. but how did you studie? any crazy bio question?

I think if you applied to lots of school with GPA avg. around urs and if ur app. is already on their way to schools, you should have a decent shot.

I used kaplan and achiever and topscore. For the PA i thought achiever did me well. Ive read through the kaplan book once and tried to understand all the questions i got wrong in achiever. I took some kaplan practice tests. I scored 21-22 on my practice test in reading comprehension but somehow i did not performed so well. Im thinking i lost my concentration. I consistently hit 19s in QR so i thought i would atleast get an 18 and it dropped low. Some of the bio questions Ive never heard of. Something about FRAP. I just hope I dont miss the cut off for the RC at some schools that i applied to.
So my chances are not so great eh...?

It's not that you dont have a chance. It's just that you might not make cutoffs for some schools because of the 16 in QR. If you had gotten a more uniformed score with that avg, I think you will be fine with that GPA. How many schools did you apply to?

I applied to 15 schools all of california except loma linda because im from cali and east coast schools. Do you think it would have been better not taking it at all and keeping my older scores? My QR and RC really messed me up. Its just taht after takin it the first time i knew i could have done better in science and PAT so i invested a lot of time in those areas and kinda left the QR and RC and it really showed

From what I've heard, adcoms dont really care that much QR but RC was one of the more regarded sections. I think it really is up to you to choose whether if you should retake or not. Keep in mind though, if you decide to do a retake for this cycle you will not be able to do it until Nov, and most likely the schools will hold off ur app. review till then. In that case, you probably will need to do extremely well on the retake.

this is from a while back but i still never got opinions on which score is better. Which score would you guys choose to take? Test 1 or 2? O yea my aadsas gpa is actually 3.34 and 3.41 sci little higher which is good.

wow great job! PAT is amazing! sucks that ur rc and qr went down but honestly, u improved in the MORE important sections such as PAT and sciences. great job! ur gpa is average but u'll be alright! u applied to UOP i'm assuming and they mainly focus on PAT..they made that VERY clear when they came to our school to speak. great job! good luck
