been here for 2 years in sdn and I finally took the dat today!
here are my scores..

aa 21
science 23
bio 26
org 22
gchem 22
rc 18
quant 18
pat 15 !!🙁

I'm satisfied with my overall academic score but really worried about my pat score since it's so low.. I know some schools don't put so much weight on this section but still worried if I could make the cut line..

I'm a bio bs major at a state school with an overall gpa of 3.97 and science 4.0, have a decent amount of volunteer and shadowing hours, a decent amount of extracur activities (but nothing extraordinary)

Do you guys think the rest of my application is good enough to cover that 15 on the pat? 😕
and let me know if you have any questions..I'd be glad to help!

I am not going to answer your questions about your scores. But what sources did you use and what strategies did you apply on the test?

I think you have a decent chance of getting interviewed and accepted, although you should probably apply to 10+ schools to be more certain.

a decent chance? dude has a 4.0..i'd say he's pretty much set.

I know that the rest of my score is pretty good, but like I mentioned, I'm concerned about the cut offs for the pat, as my pat score is not just low, but seriously low !! 🙁 👎

Can you guys recommed some schools that don't look at the pat so much.. and is it possible to add in some more schools after I've already sent in my application to ada??
I applied for 11 schools in total but feel so stressed out now cuz of the pat. Is 11 schools not enough with this low of a pat score??

For the sources I used,

Bio: campbell (since this is the text that my school used for gen bio class),
kaplan online, class notes, 1 achiever test
: almost half of the questions seemed conceptual and application, the
other half seemed very straight forward
Chem: kaplan, (got through about 1/3 of the destroyer)
:around 10 questions were calculation, and the rest conceptual
Org Chem: kaplan, (same as above for destroyer)
😛retty straight forward and were mostly reactions, a couple of lab tech
questions, a couple of spectro, 2 indicator questions
Math: kaplan ap book
:like everybody had mentioned lots and lots of word problems which
were pretty simple but time was just the problem (I ended out
guessing in 4 questions)
Reading: just did 2 achiever test
:english is my second language, and I was never good in this section

studied for 6 weeks, around 6-7 hours per day
hope that helps and feel free to ask if you have any further questions!

How hard were the indicator problems and the lab tech questions????Would do you overall have to know about them

thanks for the comments!
I called a couple of schools that I've applied to and was told that I'd probably be ok with those scores.. so hopefully I'd be getting some interviews,,

For the lab questions, they were nothing hard, just about distillation and for the indicator questions, I really have no idea at all and had to guess on those two

Wait, I'm confused one the indicator types. I'm aware of Indicators like Tollen's test and stuff, but the only other indicators I can think of involve the TITRATION stuff. Like the color changing indicators. Is that what was meant by indicators?

Thanks 🙂

indicators are what you describe, weak acids that when in diss. and undiss. forms have different colors
