Hello guys
I'm new to the forum
I'm a canadian student just got my results for the FEB DAT
Carving 30
PAT 26
CHEM 20
BIO21
RC16

My RC is pretty low
Would there be any problem applying to the states?
Are there any schools that require certain mark of RC? like a cut off
Academic average would be 19
and Total Sciences is 20
PAT 26
Also, i got
3.85 - 1st year
3.61 - 2nd year
3.33 - 3rd year
3.7 (around there this year)
Do you guys think i have a good shot at American dental schools?

thank you
-keith

with a higher RC score you would be money in the bank. the 16 is a redflag..im not going to lie. great scores all around tho! goodwork. gpa is good too.

Is that the Canadian DAT? I know some schools have a 17 cutoff but I also know they make a lot of exceptions. I speak for USA schools though.

GOOD LUCK

17 cut off as individual sections? or overall?
Also! Has anyone taken both american and the canadian DAT?
if so, did you guys find one easier over the other??
😀

american dat is harder because you have to know organic and math..simple as that. actual questions are similar in difficulty

I agree that the american DAT was harder because it had so much stuff to study and bio questions were a bit tougher as well. Although i did better on the american DAT, not because it was easier but because i studied my butt off for 3 months straight. so if u r thinking about writing the american DAT, i suggest u to study hard!!

I know UCLA or UCSF had that cutoff for individual but IMO they will still look at you and will be impressed. I don't think they will toss you out for 1 score 1 point below. Your scores are great. congrats again

GOOD LUCK
