I recently found out that the math on the GC, they do not provide a calculator for you! ):

How difficult is doing the math problems for GC?

As well as, would there be percent conversions, say like 16/40 x100? Or would I have to figure it out on my own?

Thank you, and please let me know!

You will not be given a calculator, but a periodic table. However, you should know how to do some approximations and some basic log function. The math is not difficult as long as you understand the concepts. I am not sure about percent conversion, if there was, it would be doable without a calculator like 16/40*100 = 40.

Most of the calculation problems in the GC section will have the formula laid out for you, i.e.
A. (200)(0.0821) / (273)(2)
B. (273)(8.314) / (2)(200)
etc.

You might need to do some basic calculations, but I think the hardest calculation I had on my GC section was something like 200 x 3. I'd be familiar with multiplying/dividing scientific notation though, Chad goes through how to do that pretty well.

Most of the time they just want you to set the calculation up, so that's the good news! But sometimes they'll have you calculate it, if they do its a very simple calculation.

Anyone recommend a good site or video for me to refresh on simple math calculations without a calculator? Does Chad videos have them?
