Ive noticed a lot people suggest to study ecology for the bio, or genetics, or any topic they felt was emphasized on their dat. My question is, does this really matter? Isnt one DAT exam different from another. Couldnt 2 people be taking a DAT exam at prometric and in actuality be taking 2 different forms of the same test? Arent all the questions on each DAT randominzed from one test at one time to another test the next time? I would assume each test is different to prevent people from telling others what areas to study for.

Worst case scenario, I would definately study everything, everyone has suggested here, simply to be ready in case I did happen to get a very similar test.

I think that there is a question bank and a small number of questions are pulled out and sent into rotation, are circulated for a couple of months, and a new batch is brought up. That is just what I think. I know other people on SDN have posted comments about such and such a question and someone else had it too on their test. I know I did. Besides questions, I had the exact same RC section as Accidental did and more than likely the exact same questions. It's highly unprobable that the DAT is pulled from a pool filled with thousands of questions and each test is highly unique. Chances are that yes, if you are taking the DAT at the same time in the same center, then the exams are somewhat different. The questions may be asked in a different order, or 25% of your questions are unique to you and the other 75% are common to both. Who knows. There seems to be a trend with the questions asked on exams taken during a couple of months of each other. I'd study up on those areas that everyone has been mentioning - just in case.
