DAT in 2 weeksss!!!! someone HELP!!!!

ok so heres the thing, i have been studying since december 14th and my test is on jan 15th. i have the kaplan stuff, the destroyer, shaums bio, and topscore. i have only taken 2 kaplan prac test and will start topscore next week or so. my kaplan scores are REALLY BAD. on the first one i made a 16 and then i made a 17....i have 2 weeks left. GEN CHEM IS KILLING me and so i study all this gen chem and then i still dont get...what do i do...my test is soon and im not even making 18-19's which really sucks! any advice would be great!!! thank you so much! oh yeah, this is my first time taking it, but i REALLY CANT STUDY THIS CRAP AGAIN...so im basically busting my ass right noww! thanks!

Take a little time off and study more. There is nothing wrong with waiting a little more time. Better to take the time and prep well so that you don't score bad and have to retake it.

i also started december 14th and i am taking the test on jan 11th, 4 days less than you to study. how many hours are you studying a day and for how many days a week? i know ive been studying 6-8 hrs a day 7 days a week non stop and im getting there. no going out, no movies, no tv, basically all DAT!! dont worry you still have 2 solid weeks of studying!!

Take it only when you're ready, postpone the test date, or you'll regret it when you get like a 15, then you'll have to wait another 3 months to retake. Obviously you're not 100% ready. You don't necessarily have to take it now, many students take it in the summer and do just fine.

I would do as everyone advised and reschedule. Kaplan tests are supposedly easier than the real deal.

i study for about 9-10 hours a day 7 days a week! i dont do anything else...i only take breaks at home...to eat and watch tv etc. so i am putting in time...i just dont know what else to do. i can only study and learn soo much. i know i was thinking about postponing it but the thing is that i can NOT DO IT DURING school...its super crazzyyy!!!! i just want to do well because my gpa isnt too hot as well (damn freshman year)!!!! thanks guys!

Maybe you should have started to study earlier in the semester. Even 10 minutes a day every day would have made a world of difference.

You don't have much time so I just suggest you study as much as you can until your DAT, which pretty much means you won't be doing anything else in this time. Good luck, and just pray that you won't have to retake. There really isn't much more advice one can give.

well i have done all the sciences. my bio and o chem is ok...but i tend to make lots of dumb mistakes, but my gen chem sucks...so i focus on gen chem and then math is math. i dont study reading and pat because my scores are fine, i mean i can do better, but it will take lots of practice. so basically im focusing on my sciences getting in the 20's and then math.
