I’m taking my exam on the 25th.

I’ve been strictly using booster. I NEED advice on how I should make my study plan. Right now I’m taking individual tests. This first week I’m taking the test without the timer, and will start using timers the 2nd and 3rd week. I take full length exams every Saturday, correct and review what I missed Sunday.

Sundays & Wednesdays- Math and GC individual test and review. I tried doing the math with the timer but get extreme anxiety and end up scoring poorly.
General Chem- I get better as I practice. But I wanted to ask if I should stick to practice exam questions for practicing at getting better in this section or the question bank? The question bank has a lot of conceptual based questions. Judging by the time I have I don’t know if this is something I should focus on.
Math I understand but it takes me a while to process what I’m reading. I score okay when the timer is off. But horrible when it’s on

Mondays & Thursdays- OCHEM I’m currently sticking to the reaction question bank and plan on complete this section this week. I’m so lost on how I can improve my score on this. I’m trying to memorize the reactions and seeing how it goes from there once I start taking individual exams.
Ochem- not confident at all. Is memorizing the reactions and doing question bank questions enough?

Tuesdays Fridays- Bio I stick to bio bites and do individual tests.
Biology- I know I’ll get better at this, similar to Gen Chem..the more practice the more faster and better I’ll get.

RC- I haven’t been practicing alot on this but I also do poor in this section. SESRCH and destroy never works, and I always end up losing time towards the end.

I’m really worried about ochem and math. I study everyday from 9am-6pm. If you have any advice on how I should approach my studying to get the best score possible please let me know. These last few weeks have been so stressful..endless amount of crying. And it’s gotten to the point where my family’s just really annoyed, my mom told me to not pursue dentistry anymore…

I’m really sorry to hear you're dealing with so much stress. Your mom understands the pain this is causing you, and while her advice is well-intentioned, I want to encourage you not to give up. Timed tests can be very stressful for many students. Take a break for a few days and step away from the test. Instead, focus on building your foundation and tackling other studies that are less stressful. Taking a short break can do wonders for your stress levels.

Wishing you all the best,

Nancy, Destroyers
