I've been preparing for this exam for 4 months. at this point I'm just ready to get it over with. I don't know if this is good or bad....ANYWAYS! for those who have taken it, what do you recommend that I should do in my last few days?! I still have to take the 2009 exam and i'll be doing that tomorrow and i'm reviewing my bio notes currently.

Also, are we allowed to make our grids for PAT during the SNS or PAT tutorial? or are we not allowed to write anything on our papers until the timer begins?

Thank you in advance!

I feel you - 4 months is a long time to be studying! I always tell people that you'll never feel 'ready' for the test, but you should feel like you've given everything you've got to prepare for it and ready to get it over with. With 6 days left, you should be feeling pretty confident in all parts of the test. Take the 2009 DAT and see how you do. If there was any topic that you weren't 100% sure about, go back and review that entire topic. I.e. if you got a question on galvanic cells wrong, go back and study that in detail to see what you were missing and commit it to memory. Whether or not you can draw your grids for PAT during the tutorial depends on your test center - I'd ask if you can write during the tutorial and see what they say. If not, it's not a big deal, it'll take 30 seconds at most. Keep up the studying! You're in the home stretch, finish strong!

Testing centers differ, so call them and ask, some say yes and some say no. Feel free to message me after you take the 2009 exam and I will be more than happy to offer some advice and discuss the scores. You have put in a lot of hard work and what you are feeling is normal. Just think "30"😍, that is the new magic number.

Plus you'll get done with the sciences with some time to spare you can use 30 seconds of that time to draw grids lol. I always wondered why people asked this question,

Get good nights sleep is very important, if you get a few hours less it can drop your score. Good luck!

Because not everyone finishes the science section with time to spare. It's just a question

I have a question. When you guys say grids for the PAT, do you mean for the hole-punching section? I do the generator for this section and I don't use anything, I just picture it visually and get most of them right. Am I missing out on something? Is it necessary? I feel like this would waste a lot of time to fill it out for each problem.

I made a 4x4 grid, and fill it with X's as I unfold the paper, and I've been getting them all right. Perhaps if you used this method too you'd get all of them right, vs. only most of them.

That's what I used to do as well. But it just made it easier to keep track of the wholes on the grid, and uses less brain power lol. It doesn't waste much time, you just write an x in the box representing a whole, instead of keeping track of it mentally.

Just being honest lol
If you want to visualize, be my guest haha 🙂
lol I agree with you. I used to visualize it, but I decided to do grids and it was just easier. Why make things hard on yourself when taking the DAT? 😉
