So my DAT is on June 11, quite worried especially about biology due to the mass amount of information. I been averaging 18-20 on bootcamp biology exams. Should I just read Feralis top and down and I should be solid?

Also what would you guys recommend me to do during the last week? I plan on taking 4 full length tests including 2009 DAT and using the other days to review notes extensively.

Review the BC tests and the concepts that you weren't clear with. Go over every question even the ones you got right, just to reinforce the idea behind your choice. Nearing the 1-2 days before, repeat again.

Night before: Do very light review, force yourself to eat (you're gonna need the energy) and if time permits, do something you enjoy for an hour.
For me, I slept over at a buddy's house (because test location was too far from my home), did some very very light review of BC/notes i made, then played some FIFA 17 before bed

With that little time I would either use Feralis or your own notes. But typically just reading doesn't really solidify material into memory. So I would focus on writing out in your own words what you are weakest in. If you struggle with the Kreb cycle for instance use Feralis and other notes and draw out the cycle, for example. Then try and draw it from memory until you get it right. That is what has been helping me and many of the dental students that I work with.

11 days gives you the time to cover a lot of ground in biology, but you want to be efficient about it. I'd skim the notes for whatever sections you aren't already strong in (for example, if you're already confident about everything in photosynthesis then skip it) and put your focus on the sections you've had the least exposure too.

What other content review have you done for biology so far?

I was worried about biology too and had about 2 weeks of time left! I just read Cliffs as thoroughly as I could and filled in any gaps in my knowledge using Feralis. I also read over the DAT Destroyer Bio section briefly. Best of luck!

Besides cliffs book and ty jacob's notes, I've done destroyer twice. Currently going through bootcamp biology exams, their explanations are long, but helpful.

I guess I will read parts of feralis notes that I am weak in.

In my humble opinion, I'm in agreement with Orka and others, you should try to gain a better understanding of the material that you are not confident in before your test. I know you have what it takes to do well, and I'm looking forward to your breakdown. =)

I would recommend looking over the easy stuff sometime before the test. The questions you get in the test prep stuff can sometimes be very specific but there will be plenty of questions covering the basics on the real DAT. Take the 2007 DAT (i know this is easier than the real dat) because it will give you an idea of how basic some of the questions can be. The days leading up to the test I reviewed stuff like the cell cycle, lytic cycle, photosynthesis, DNA replication, trophic layers, basic organ structure..... stuff like that.

I'm taking the test 3 days before you and also have the same concern just like you about the breath of the Bio material. It really helps readings this post to learn about what others have done it the past! Good luck to you!
