Hello all!
My test date is set for the middle of April ~3 months from today! And I would love any suggestions you have to help me get started really studying/cramming for this test.
The short version of this post is that I am looking for the best ways to improve my OC, PAT, and QR. I feel okay with BIO and GC but would like some extra practice! Advice? I've heard good things about CrackDAT for PAT? I've also had a friend that liked both Qvault and DAT bootcamp but I'm kind of on the fence on whether I should get both/just one/neither. Thoughts on Destroyer?
I'm a part-time student at a community college (I graduated from a UC back in June and am taking 2 years off [hopefully] and because I actually got my BS in 3 years [this would technically be my senior year had I followed a 4-yr schedule], I have some classes that I didn't get around to taking [Psychology, English, Ecology, Anatomy] because they weren't relevant to my major) with a 30 hour work week, so finding time to study is difficult, so I am looking to get the most of the time that I do have to study!
So far I've done: the 2007 DAT, which I know was kind of jumping into things, but I wanted to see how it went. I did pretty well/felt comfortable with the BIO and GC sections: BIO (36/40) and GC section (35/40). My QR score was 32/40 and RC 32/40, were definitely more challenging. I did not even attempt the PAT or OC sections because I don't remember any Ochem and I'm pretty poor at spatial reasoning (just enantiomers/diastereomers was difficult for me).
I also did some Kaplan subject tests -- which were pretty brutal. I think my average on the BIO sections was a 29/30 and the QR maybe more like a 27/28.
I've also been skimming through a Kaplan and a Barron's DAT book.
Any and all words of advice are very much appreciated!!
