I recently bought the Kaplan blue book. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to go about studying for the science portion of the DAT from this book (or any other book)? Any tips would be much appreciated.

I found this book to be brief and to the point. It has all the topics covered on the test. It won't go in depth on topics, so you have to have a good background before reading this book. If you're not too good with the material and need a book that goes in depth, I suggest cliffs note or schaum's outlines. The MCAT princeton, examcracker, and brekley review are all pretty good books too. Just make sure to get a book that covers plants, diversity, etc. all the other topics not on the MCAT.

Also, post this question at the DAT thread. You'll get a lot more and better responses.

Invest in Chad's videos for GC and OC. You won't regret it. 🙂

I think if you didn't do well in GC and/or OC you should definitely invest in other study materials. I hear a lot of people saying that KBB wasn't enough. I have a good chemistry background so it was all I used and I did fine on those sections, so it's really up to you. For bio definitely get something else to supplement it. KBB is a good overview, but bio is so broad you will need more.
