DAT Logistics Question [Reviewing Marked Items]

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I believe it is an option. The Kaplan computerized exam has this functionality too. I did not get this on my actual DAT because I didn't leave anything blank...so I can't be sure. But since both Kaplan and TopScore have this, I am going to say it's on the real DAT too.

BTW, you want to review incomplete first before marked answers because that means you left some answers blank.

One more question what resolution are the Sylvan monitors. I run 1600 x 1200 on my home computer and as a result topscore is exceedingly small. I'd like to mimic actual conditions as closely as possible. My guess it that they probably run 1024 x 768? on 17 inch curved monitors. I think i'm going to plan a short trip to my testing center to check it out, the room, the monitors and its location 🙂

I think they would call you (and me) "very particular about the details". There are probably some better phrases for our condition 🙂

I can't tell you the resolution, but I had a 17'' monitor. It was probaby 1024x768, like you said.

I did a test run to my test center. They would NOT let me into the room, see the monitor, or check out the mouse. They told me there was a picture of the setup on the prometric, but I could not find it. Hopefully, your test center will allow you to check out the test area.

But let me describe the test center as best I can. The center was clean. It was a very professional environment (because I think ADA keeps Prometric on a short leash). The computers were functional, clean, and in good shape. Each test room seemed to have about 20 workstations. They were small cubes like you typically see in college libraries. The rooms had cameras, but I think globes covered them (like you see in Vegas and casinos). One last note: the mouse had a scroll wheel, but it did NOT work on the actual DAT...but it does work on TopScore. My suggestion: don't practice TopScore with the scroll wheel.

Look Familar? 😀

One last question -- after your last QR question and you hit enter are the scores flashed in your face 😱

Nice work on finding it. Looks just like how I remembered it though I think my cube walls were higher.

Yes, after about 10 secs or so (too much time to think, ponder, and build anxiety), the scores finally flash in your face.

DrTacoElf, you sure are spending a lot of time in the forum. I know it's addicting, but don't you have a DAT to study for? 🙂

I made a trip to my testing center today (good thing too, it wasn't where i thought it was). Looks pretty similar to the setup in the above picture. 17" compaq monitors not totally flat but pretty close. Res looked to 1024 x 768 but i was so far away it was hard to tell. There were 2 seperate rooms (glass windows) and a proctor at a control board with like a zillion monitors for cameras for each room. Oh they also said their mice DO have scroll wheels which are functional, nontheless i'll train without it and if i have the luxury on test day all the better 😀
