hi, i am doing a post bacc degree and i am planning to take the DAT this summer and i want to go ahead and start studying. I am currently taking all of my prerequisites over to get higher grades so i think that will help prepare also. Anyways.... is starting to study for the DAT a year in advance too early? If i take the DAT before i take the second level of organic chemistry, would that be bad? Most importantly what books are the best ( are there any cheap ones that work really well....i am independent and on a major budget)? If you have books that you think are really good please include all of the study material you used to prepare, your DAT score / GPA, and what school you were accepted into? thanks so much

Bio: CliffsAP and/or Your own Bio text book. AND of course Destroyer
Gen Chem: Chad's videos AND Destroyer
O-Chem: Chad's vids and Destroyer

PAT: CDP

RC: you are on your own on this one!

QR: get some college algebra text book and review the materials/ Destroyer and Topscore are good as well

Good luck!

Bio- AP cliffs and Destroyer. Campbell text book is good just to refer to what is not clear on AP.
Org C. Destroyer must. If youwant one I have one for good deal.

PAT. CDP
QR. Math destroyer is good.Otherwise work on some algebra books.
G chem. Destroyer is over killing. Examcrackers for MCAT 1001 is not bad
RC. reading anything you get on your hand and try to comprehend it.

Good luck

Bio: Cliff AP Bio, Destroyer
Gc: Chad, Destroyer, ACS
Oc: Chad, Destroyer, ACS

For all science sections, kaplan practice tests worked well for me as well.
Also, flashcards are good.

PAT: Crack DAT PAT (Kaplan is too easy)
RC: On your own + Kaplan practice tests
Math: Kaplan practice tests

For real test simulation, you should have Topscore or Achiever (Topscore seems better)
