Some have found the GRE Math review to be helpful.

Here is a website I found that gives a decent review, and its FREE. THe Kaplan DAT Review book also gives a good indication of what will be on the math section of the DAT.

GRE MATH REVIEW

I don't want to sound glib about this, since the DAT is obviously a big deal...but as long as you paid attention in pre-algebra back in middle or high school, and can remember how to do *basic* equation manipulation, you're set to go. Spend the rest of your time practicing your perceptual ability; *that* gets a real workout.

Although the Math section may not be that difficult, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't know the section as well as the others. It may take less time to cover the Math section, but you'd be surprised how many people get sub 20s in the Math section.

I just went over the Kaplan Book (from the bookstore) Math section and I did well on the test. It seemed to cover everything.

math was on the DAT?

I remember something lame, that made me snicker to myself.

ALright, no more. THe best way to do DAT math is just look at the kaplan book and if you still arent convinced look at the Topscore CD. If you can do that topscore CD math section you will be amplely prepared for the math section.

Its true many people get sub-20, but then with the math section being very simple, getting a couple wrong will lower your score significantly. I talked the DAT people bc they had to grade my DAT by hand (computer program) and i asked why i didn't get a higher score on math and turns out i missed 3 problems, which dropped my score more than i expected (still above 20, but surprised how quickly the score drops!). Take your time and make sure you READ each problem carefully, that was my mistake.

i didn't think the math section was easy. i used several different math prep books designed for the GRE. if you are not a strong math person you should study this section a bit. seems like there were about 6-8 different kinds of questions and after i learned the fast tricks to those questions i was in better shape. i still didn't get fininished with the section though.
