Second time I took the DAT.
First time through: 18AA, 17TS, 15Bio, 19OC, 19GC, 20RC, 19QR, 19PAT.
Monday: 21 PAT, 27 QR, 20 RC, 23 OC, 20 GC, 20 Bio, 21 TS, 22AA.

I can answer questions to specific things if you want message me. I'll do a quick run through of what I liked/didn't like in terms of study help.

Chad's Videos. Watch and take thorough notes. It will help a lot.

Crack the DAT - do these tests for PAT before doing Bootcamp, sets the foundation but isn't enough to do well in my opinion.

Destroyer and Bootcamp are the two best things you can find.

Destroyer - did every problem twice. Everyone says it but the biggest change I made was reading why the other answers were wrong and not only why the correct one is correct. It will totally help you. Really study the "road maps" and the 25 must know reactions. I didn't feel lost on one mechanism as a result of that help. These are difficult, but harder than the real test again. Had a few questions super similar and breezed right through them as a result. Math destroyer provides a great background before Bootcamp. The shape questions are excellent here, really teaches you how to do them. THANK YOU to the destroyer people.

Bootcamp - Very realistic in terms of the real DAT in every section. PAT is great - it is really hard. Really hard. This will teach you how to finish on time for PAT and then on the real test you will have extra time to go back. The strategy sections are very helpful in terms of lab techniques and general strategy and topics on the test. The QR section here is phenomenal. Teaches you how to finish on time and is just as difficult. Reading comprehension super similar as well. THANK YOU as well.

Hey Congrats on your awesome scores! 🙂 I am scheduled to take DAT next tuesday. I have few questions
1) How similar is PAT generator of BC to actual test? specially TFE, pattern folding and angles? What I observed is that the BC generator questions are very similar to each other but their practice tests are different.
2) Do you think QR formula sheet of BC is sufficient?

Thank you

Fantastic job, you worked hard and it paid off!

I was wondering if you could possibly answer some of my questions. my test is in less than 2 weeks
1)for bio i have been going through feralis and made note cards.i have also went through the destroyer twice and made note cards. I have been making 15-18 on bootcamp. 15 being the preliminary score. how did you improve significantly?

2)ochem- which 25 must know reactions are you referring to? i have 2013 destroyer.. i have the road maps memorized but i don't see a list of 25.

3)QR- on math destroyer i am averaging 25 or so out of 40. i am mainly weak on the Trig simplification questions. do you remember having any?

4)PAT- i just recently hit 19 on my BC test, what were you scores on BC compared to the real thing.

I know those are a lot of questions i am just feeling a bit tense and nervous 🙁
Also i promise i will give back and help anyone that needs it after my test!

Congratulations! That is a fantastic improvement! If you don't mind me asking, since there are many other students in a similar position retaking the DAT, what did you do differently to increase your scores the second time around?

Sorry this took so long to respond on here. The biggest thing I did as a whole was read the wrong answers and see why they were wrong and understand those as well.

I actually did ALL of the bootcamp tests, which prepared me the most for the real test after a great foundation from the destroyer books. I studied more hours, more focused when I was studying as well. It needs to be your life. Also working out each day helps to relieve stress and make you more prepared to study each day. Eat right as well. Those are small but help in terms of morale. Just know how important this test is and know you need to give it your all to get the most out of it. Watch as many youtube videos as possible. Every one does every section differently, you'll find someone with a successful strategy that will work for you.

I lied to myself the first time around when I thought that I was giving it my all. Focus, your friends and alcohol can wait until after you finish the test. I promise.
