I took my DAT yesterday in tampa. I had originally sheduled to take it last saturday, but due to Hurricane Charley the people at my sylvan center decided they better close the facility including the Prometric test chamber. Alas, i was rescheduled for Tuesday of this week. As the hurricane came closer to Tampa, the local meteorologists we're giving the people here in tampa the impression that our beloved city was going to be annihilated in a matter of hours. So, in preparation for this I called Prometric friday morning and pushed my DAT back another day to wednesday. Since I live in a mandatory evacuation area my family and I were forced to evacuate our home and go to a hotel. Anyways, the hurricane missed tampa and hit south of here so we all ended up coming back to the house about 10 hours after we were evacuated.

The test was about what I was expecting. I had the same DAT I've heard others discuss on this board, the one with the question about bones in the arm in the bio section. I also had the RC section with cancer, stock market, and the nervous system. I'm glad it's over, it was a hellacious experience studying for it.

Yea i applied back in June. My AADSAS number is 1180. So I'm hoping I'll get some interviews in the coming days or weeks.

i took mine at the south tampa prometric center on Henderson Ave.. It was a good test chamber and the test deputies were quite accomodating. They were older women, and they had a changing of the guard during my test so I actually got to meet 2 different test sergeants . Overall, it was relaxed enviroment and they didnt seem too strict except for empyting my pockets before going in the chamber.

hey man, i took mine at the temple terrace one (corner of 56th and fowler) and the computer i was on had a ******ed monitor. make sure ur comp has good screen. good luck

omar- aww man that's just what I was hoping would not be the case. How long ago did you take it? Do you think it negatively impacted your PAT score?

hey man, i took mine in april actually so it hasnt been that long. and ya i do think it kinda messed me up on teh PAT. i was constantly scoring 19-21 on kaplan tests and ended up with a 15! the angle ranking (which was my favorite section) was actually one of the hardest cuz the angles are not straight lines but actually little blocks! it was horrible. i'm sure there are good monitors tho, so try to ask for one of them. good luck

Congratulations on those scores, MG777! A lot of people from Tampa flooded Orlando only to have Charley follow them here - a bit ironic. Good to hear that you are safe. And have power. And have running water... Best of luck!

yea i couldnt beleive that about the hurricane. as soon as we had evacuated our house, and got to the hotel the weather guy starts saying the hurricane is taking a jig to the right or something. we ended up getting a little wind. i hope nothing happened out there in orlando, but i did hear they had to shut disney world down. i was going to go there too after my DAT, damn!
