Hi everybody,
I am going to take DAT on May 28th, 2015. Does anybody know how long it will take for my scores to be posted to the schools which I will apply to. I am very worried about the time of application. I sis late to take DAT at the end of May since most of the schools applications open at June? Can anybody please tell me which documents are required at the time of applying?

Don't quote me but I think it takes 6 weeks for scores to show up.

All U.S. dental schools require official DAT scores. Official
scores are reported electronically (within 3-4 weeks of your test
date) to the dental schools you select on your DAT application.
Please keep a copy of your eligibility email as a record of which
schools you requested. You may also review the schools you
have requested by logging into the My Account page at
www.ada.org/dat When you select dental schools to receive
your official scores, you grant the DAT Program permission to
release your official scores to the dental schools selected on
your DAT application. Scores will not be released without
authorization.

I think you would actually be very early since the application cycle doesn't open until June (which is not a bad thing). Just send your scores to schools and send in your application. Can someone who has gone through the process correct me if I'm wrong?

Mary1984 is not taking the test until May 28th.

Thanks for your responses. I have Masters degree in electrical engineering. Can I get one of my recommendation letters from my professor at engineering school? I was a research assistant at school.

That's true and because it takes a few weeks for my scores to be reported I was worried about the time.

it takes time to verify everything on your application anyway. your scores will be up around the same time everything else is verified. nothing to worry about
