Finally I am done with DAT. Really happy about it:
PA: 22, QR: 27, RC: 23, Bio: 22, GC: 26, OC: 27; TS: 24, AA: 25
I have advanced degree and long time research experience. Because of family reason and as I was an international student without US credits, I only could apply for few schools near New York. I might try Uconn and Columbia. Should I apply more schools? I really like to have your advise on it! Many thanks!!
I am not a traditional student and left school long long time ago, so I did study for almost 6 months. I have to work during day and take care of my daughter after I pick up her from daycare as my husband works in another state and only comes back for weekends. The first two month I only could spent about 2-3 hrs/day on studying. Then I increased my study time to 4 hrs/day and finally in last 3 months I could study about 6-7 hrs/day (Thanks to my boss!).
Material I used:
PAT: Crack DAT PAT; Achiever; I am not good at PAT. I even could not finish my first Crack DAT PAT test. I went over CDP twice and made some progress on it with score of 20-25 on my second round of practice. Then I heard that PAT is getting harder so I ordered Achiever and went through the PAT part twice. During my real DAT test,I feel that keyhole and TFE are between CDP and achiever, angle, hole punch and cube are as same as CDP and achiever, folding is same as achiever and harder than CDP. I could just finish the test on time. I would suggest to use CDP at beginning and use Achiever later for harder questions.
QR: Math Destroyer, DAT Destroyer. I would say the real test is easier than both Destroyers, also easier than other practice tests. I am good on math, but as I left school many years ago, so I use Destroyers to review and practice.
Reading: Crack DAT Reading; It is a good practice and help me be familiar with the question styles and also timing. My three papers on test are easy, all about science. There are many detail questions. I could finish even with 3 min left. I scored 17-21 with Crack DAT Reading.
Bio: KBB (very very old version, got from a friend),Cliffs'AP, Barron'AP and DAT Destroyer. Again, I left school long time ago so I spent a lot of time to review and remember it. I did all questions on Barron's AP and went through DAT Destroyer about 4 times. I am happy about my score.
GC and OC: Ok, Chad's video and DAT destroyer. I went through Chad's video twice, went through all quiz twice. I went through destroyer 4 times. I wrote down road map and try to remember all things. Really happy about my scores on GC and OC. The overall science part on test is not difficult and I could finish it with 17 min left.I use the left time to make sure that I had right caculation.
Other materials: Topscore, Achiever,2007 and 2009 practice test.
I started to practice on full test 1 month before my real test. Some week I did 2-3 full sets of test. I had 2009 practice test and Test 3 of Topscore a week before the real DAT as I did not want Achiever to destroy my confidence. I went through the science part on Topscore once more two days before test to make sure that I would not repeat same mistakes.
My scores on those practice test are
Top test 1:

Achiever (I ordered 5 test, did 4 full set and for test 5 I only did PAT); Reading is very hard as well as science part. Use it to practice but do not let those scores turn you down.
