Hey everyone,
I am taking the DAT on the 29th. I didnt want to take it this late but I am not prepared. I have only been studying for a week now. Any help would be much appreciated. I have a strong background in OChem and fairly good in Biology but know literally nothing in General CHem. Its been 4 years and even then I didnt like it. Whats your biggest advice? Also, what would be a good way to study now? What should I concentrate on doing? My aol screen name is RanaRK82 so anyone is welcome to im me with help. Thanks.

do you absolutely HAVE to take it by the 29th? if you really know nothing about Gchem then i would advise you to postpone your test. like lilith said, get your hands on the kaplan blue book and topscore cd. you need to make sure that you can finish all sections within the time frame. maybe if you really push yourself hard (like 8 hours a day of studying) up to your test date you can do it but you really have to commit yourself.

I recommend you reschedule the test date. I'm taking it on Oct. 30th, I know its pretty late but it will give me the opportunity to study more.

just FYI, the schools received my DAT score exactly 1 week after I took my test...so it doesn't take ADA that much time to process it, unlike AADSAS...

so even taking it in October would be okay as long as you have all your applications complete by then

Would you mind emailing me at [email protected]? I just want to ask a lot of questions from you. I will be taking the DAT in the 30th of October as well. Already sent in my application last June. Im in Boston area. Applied to Tufts, BU and Harvard. So far Tufts and harvard are already asking my DAT score, but Im not yet ready, but will definitely take it in the date I am intended to. I am not taking any kaplan course but I do have 3rd edition kaplan blue book, barrons, topscore and Examcrackers, and oh I also downloaded from the GRE website the Math review, been studying on and off since June. I am wondering if you have any other DAT materials in mind that you can recommend to me. I want more practice materials esp for the PAT.
