Thank you all for your support so far. I think that the single biggest reason why I scored decently is because of all the help I've gotten here.

Reading comp: 21
Biology: 20
OChem: 25
Chem: 27
QR: 21
AA: 23 (99.3 percentile)
TS; 23 (99.4 percentile)
PAT: 18 (87.5 percentile)

The BEST study material is the Kaplan Subject Tests (I did ALL of the practice exams 3 times!!!). If you have a hard time getting a hold of these, pm me 😉

My dream schools are Columbia, UOP, and University of Washington. Could any of you venture a guess as to what my chances are?
My cumulative GPA is 3.2, with a physics degree and a biomedical engineering degree from Columbia University.

Thanks!

Kaplan is pretty good for both General CHemistry and Organic Chemistry. If you work through the Kaplan flashcards, you are pretty much solid.

Hey you did so great , congrats.
but with a 87.5% on pat and u only get 18? 🙁 I thought it would go like a 21 or something...

How did you do on your RC? I am not a very good reader 🙁

Hey, thanks.

For chemistry, solve as many problems as you can. Get yourself a copy of the exam krackers, and solve all 1000 problems. Carry it around everywhere you go. Think of it as one of those mind games...you know, crossword puzzles and such. That's what I did.

I studied for about one month. I made sure I get some good rest during the day, and I studied from 10pm till around 6am everyday. This worked well with me because I'm a night person, and choosing these hours practically eliminated all distraction.

I'm not particularly good at the reading comprehension sections of standardized exams, but I guess I did okay. I got a 21, and the only thing that I did for RC section was to time myself while doing classroom assigned readings.

Yeah, I sucked at the PAT. There was a frat party in my dorm all night before my DATs and I found myself asleep a couple times when I was on the PAT section.

Best wishes.

thanks man, what book are u talking about regarding the exam crackers. is it the examcrackers 1001?

Also the ochem i believe has stand alone questions that i've heard of?
What about the gen chem one?
Did u only do the stand aloen questions or everything?

Did u get both books ochem and gen chem and if so did u do all the 1001 questions for ochem or for both?
Sorry just a bit confused on the which books to get.

tnx

Yeah, I used the examkrackers for both chemistry and ochem. I solved ALL of the problems. I solved 250 questions from chemistry and Ochem examkrackers everyday, over and over again paying particular attention to problems that I missed.

If you do this for a couple weeks, your mind will be ready for pretty much any question that you'll see on the DATs.

Good luck with the exam. Go into the prometric center and just perform a blazing ninja star action all over the exam.

Oh, I thought that the percentage means the percent correct problems, im just so new 😳
