Just finished the DAT and now theres nothing more to be done, so I'm nervous(aren't we all)! I'd like to hear opinions on my chances.

GPA: 3.43, Sci GPA: 3.27. I'm a biology and economics double major at UVA applying to VCU, UNC, U. of Louisville, UK, Maryland, and UT.

Also I'm working as a receptionist in a dental office. Not a clinical position obviously, but I'm still in the dental setting and go to the back when something interesting is being done. My question is does this experience still appear valuable to admissions.

Nicely done!! How many weeks did you study and for how long each day?

I think any dental job is beneficial, whether it is a receptionist or something else. Anything in a practice is good in my opinion.

good job! i think you have a nice shot, best of luck. did you find the gen chem a lot of math-like problems or more word problems?

you might be the only person i have come across on sdn (or anywhere else for that matter) who is an economics major, just like me....

great job on the dats and congrats on being done!

thanks for the encouragement! The only study material I used was the Kaplan blue book. I would say I studied for about 3 weeks, maybe about 5 hrs/day (less towards the beginning, more towards the end!!)
