Im planning on taking the DAT jan 2010.
im averaging 21 on crack DAT. from the questions i have done, crack DAT is tougher than other tests.

im having trouble especially in angle section (getting only about 10 right).
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance

I used Crack DAT as well to prep for the PAT. I think I was averaging around 21 or 22 every time I took the practice tests, but ended up getting a 26 on the real thing. In my experience, Crack DAT was a great way to prep and did indeed turn out to be quite a bit harder than the actual DAT.

I'd rather have it that way than the other way around...

Angle ranking is a bit of a crap shoot...with sometimes 3-4 degrees difference, it is nearly impossible to use any one method for it. I did a combination of the tip method (just look at the very tip of the angle, and see which "point" is the sharpest = smallest angle), process of elimination (if you can find the smallest or largest angle [or both], then check the answer choices to see if that rules anything out), and most importantly, a LOT of practice. Overall, I was averaging 21-22 on CDP, and got a 21 on the real thing. I think it is definitely one of the best DAT prep materials out there, so just keep at it.

Same as Victoria. I was averaging around a 21 on CDP and got exactly that on the real DAT. I think it's the most representative of the real thing. I think angles is almost everyones weakness. I learned to go with your first response and not to stare at them too long cuz it will get even more difficult. Learn to absolutely master all the other sections and just try your best on the angles.
