I am curious: what is the average amount of money people spend on DAT test prep material? If you don't mind, please share what programs you purchased and an estimated cost of everything. Please include any free test prep you remember accessing.
I only used two sets of prep material and course material I saved from school. I did the Kaplan program way back in the summer of 2010, but barely did half of it (it was a deeply melancholy summer). I kept the books and flash cards. The first time I took the DAT I only used that material alongside class material sprinkled with web searches. I also took that practice test from the ADA website. So for that test I spent probably $1300 in test prep and I scored an 21AA. I chose to retake the DAT because I knew I could score higher, so I bought the Crack the DAT ultimate package for $390. So over the past 3 years I spent almost $1700, but I ultimately just used the Crack program, Kaplan bluebook from 2009ish, flashcards (loads of them, those I made and those from Kaplan), and class powerpoints. Not much of a breakdown I guess, haha.
