I have a question for you all. I am an older student who did not take a lot of science classes in college. I have a unique oppertunity to get into a podiatry school with either MCAT or DAT. I think the DAT will be easier for me personally. Assume I am learning everything from scratch. I have purchased the Schaum's guides and also some used BIO and CHEM text books. I have a successful career now and will be working at this at night and weekends, I realize it seems impossible, but I am committed to making it work. I would like to put in 6 months of prep before I test, what plan of action would you all recommend?

hey nediver, im an older student too, actually 41 years old, a pharmacist from the Philippines, but now am living in Massachusetts.... Im studying for the DAT like you, and hopefully will take it in April...im in the process of my application to podiatry school..i want to send it before April first even if i don't have DAT score yet..i hope to get acceptance for this fall entering class...the schools i am applying are nycpm,temple and barry
So you work full time? you should also get dat destroyer and crack dat pat for the PAT section, because destroyer doesnt have PAT.

yeah I am also applying to podiatry school, I work in medical devices selling products to surgeons. I have been in so many surgeries over the years that I decided I want to be the guy with the knife. I am applying to NYCPM b/c I live in CT and am already established with a home and such. I am very nervous about learning all this stuff over again, but thanks for the reccomendations and good luck to you on your applications. What motivates you to make the change in careers?
