DAT present, DAT future

So does anyone know which thing you have to enter into which? I took the DATs once last year, and I just took it again today. I heard about stories and problems where people entered the wrong ones, but can anyone elaborate and clarify this problem??

hey, congrats on ur scores!! they're wonderful!
i actually made the mistake today and chose "past DAT" scores thinking the one i took Aug 1 is considered past. but if u just took it, it takes 2 weeks to process, so you would choose FUTURE DAT..so they will send the new ones , and all scores automically send with the old ones.

yeah i called ADA today to verify and they had to switch my options around.

hmmmm, would you only do that if you turned in your aadsas? cuz i still have to do my ps and finish the transcript business. oh yeah and also, you know when you turned in the transcripts from your school and they say they received it, will they only verify it AFTER you send your app in?

AADSAS and DAT scores are 2 completely different things.

i'd call ADA just to find out what u should do in terms of timing it right...

I actually made the same error in selecting past when I should have chosen future even though i requested the day after my test. Seems to me as if I took the the day before my request it happened in the past. The ADA required me to send a fax requesting the change ... hopefully I didnt pay all of that money to have my old scores sent.

damn I chose past as well!! I took DAT on July 19th and requested the scores to be sent to the schools on July 29th. I chose "Score request for the past test". I took DAT once last year as well....I hope they send in the new scores. That is so dumb!!!!!!!!

mmm to request, are you supposed to call up ADA and tell them to send them personally? or are you supposed to mail in a form?

Do you have to call and request your scores to be sent once you have taken the test? I was under the impression that once you took the test, the scores were automatically made available to the schools you requested/paid for on the initial application. Is this my mistake?

i know you have to order from ADA for your DAT scores. but i was under the impression that if you order a "DAT transcript request", that it contains all scores of all tests you've taken? i don't recall marking/seeing past test......now i'm worried.😕

From the ADA website, it says,"Official score reports will be sent directly to dental schools requested on the DAT application approximately 3–4 weeks after the test; five score reports are included in the application fee."
