On topscore and destroyer there are probability questions that involve some wierd formulas with n!(Cr)!!...etc. w/e. These complex probability calculations are not in the Kaplan book and they aren't covered in any precal classes I remember, maybe statistics or something, which I never took. So my question is are these calculations on the dat? If so,

What are the probability formula things I'm thinking of, and what does each term mean? (where can I find how to solve these probability problems as seen on the dat?)

Thanks!!

most of the questions can be done without really complicated formulas. post up a question and im sure someone will be able 2 tell you how to do it without using one of those funky formulas.

If you find an easy way to solve this problem then I say do it! However, if it stresses you out too much, just understand how to calculate regular probability problems and you will do fine as long as you know how to do all the other math. There are usually only a couple complicated probability questions on the actual DAT. For me, it was better to either skip or assume they were regular probability questions instead of stressing out, missing them, and wasting time during the actual test. I had too many other things to remember and I didn't want to remember q,w,x,y,z etc! I did very well on the QR, but I also knew the how and why to every other math question on the Destroyer. Just want you to not stess out because it is pretty crazy! =) GOOD LUCK =)

That formula is definitely necessary for the DAT and it is NOT super complicated. Crack open a high school textbook and look at the probability section and NCR/NPR is clearly explained. If you dont know how to use these formulas you will definitely get at least 1 if not 2 questions wrong.
