i heard theres no more trig as off june 8th 2017 on DAT, is that true??
Response from ADA, Bottom line is that Trig and Geometry skills are still needed for the DAT

The DAT Guide is accurate regarding the content of the exam, so you can rely on what it says. There has been a variety of questions about Geometry and Trigonometry no longer being DAT content, and this is true. There are no longer questions on the DAT that are specifically devoted to Geometry and Trigonometry. However, there may be other questions that could utilize geometry/trig skills to be answered. But they are not pure geometry/trigonometry questions.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards.

I took the DAT recently (June 21), and on my version, there wasn't anything specifically trig, but there was some geometry and knowing the standard right triangle relationships really helps. I would not waste your time trying to memorize the unit circle and various values of cos/sin, etc, or the different formulas for converting between all the diff values. I struggled with trig and thus invested a lot of time early on in studying to trying to get a basic mastery of it. I would've been MUCH better served working through a lot more statistics/probability and even gen algebra to get my speed up.

For QC:
The DAT Destroyer QC supplement is terrifically helpful, as well as Bootcamp, which includes QC questions. Even if you don't upgrade your Bootcamp subscription (which I highly rec), take the one free QR test, and you will get really helpful explanations as well as links to some more QC resources that are worth reading through.
