Hi everyone! I understand why HBr is the most acidic, then carboxylic acid, and also why the ester is less acidic than the ketone. But how did yall know how to rank water in this question?

If you look at a pka table, you will see that h2o ranks in the middle (Pka16?) Which is how you derive the correct order

Will they give you a pKa table? So you would have to know that the ketone has a pka around like 20 and ester a bit more b/c it is more basic?

I think you have to memorize it.

Oh of course water's pka is 1*10^-14 lol forgot about that. So you will have to know the other pka's are a bit higher than that I guess like 20-25
