hey guys,

im planning to retake my DAT this summer of 2007, in august or early sept. I will submit my app by june 1st. Do you guys think this is an okay time frame or should i take the exam earlier? please let me know. thanks

also, people from last year..or those that got into dental school for this coming fall....when did you guys submit your app and take the dat? Thanks

I submitted my application mid June and took my DAT late August. Taking your DAT in August is not late but it might affect your chance at schools like UOP. It's better that you take it later and do well on the test than to take it earlier and not do well. Just make sure that your application is complete by the time you have taken the DAT. My mistake wasn't taking the DAT late, but rather it was my LORs getting to the schools even later than my DAT. I think my application was complete late September even though my AADSAS was submitted in June. Just have to be careful.

I applied in late May and did not take the DAT until late August... and I had 2 schools offer me interviews in September... so you shoud apply ASAP and then take the test when you are ready... once the grade comes in... they will mark your application as complete... and review it
