If you take the DAT multiple times, does anyone know how each school looks at the scores. Do they take the highest in each category, average the scores, or just look at the most recent? Anyone got any information on this?

I think they look at each section.

i've taken the dat twice, and when i called to ask, some schools said they only look at the most recent set of scores, whereas other schools said they look at the highest scores. so it really depends.

I had heard generally they look at the most recent which is why it doesn't look great for your score to go down, but I'm not certain 100%.

most schools look at your most recent scores; however, they will take your previous scores into account...

case in point: i took the DAT twice.. first time scoring 20/20/17 (with a 20 in RC).. second time scoring 22/22/18 (with a 17 in RC). obviously, i did considerably better the second time OVERALL, but my RC dropped to an embarassing 17...which was something like 35 percentile. However, I called the schools to discuss my scores and many of them said they would take my 20 RC score into account as the second exam may have just been a fluke.

jb!🙂
