1. Do you guys know if DAT is offered this summer? I am having trouble finding the schedule for this year (I have recently switched from med to dentistry and still in the process of learning how this entire system works). Or do I have to pay for the test first and then will find out about the schedule? Also, how can we find out where the exams are offered (location-wise).

2. Are there practice DAT's offered by the company? If not, what is the best resource for practicing the exams?

3. Besides KAPLAN DAT blue book, AP Cliffs Bio and CrackDat PAT, and Destroyers (Math and DAT), what other resources have you used to study?

4. Do you suggest CrackDat Pat ACE or Royal edition?

5. Have you used other CrackDat materials? (i.e. sciences, math etc..)

Thanks for all your info!

You sign up through Prometric to take the test, and yes, you have to pay first. The test is offered practically any day of the year--you just take it at a local center, and the centers are listed on the Prometric site. You can sign up for your test date months in advance, or you can sign up right before it if you're willing to risk having to go to a test center farther away (however, I registered for my DAT a week beforehand and had no problems with getting a testing center and time I wanted).

There are past DATs that you can buy online. I didn't use them, though.

As far as study resources are concerned, check both of the links in my signature. The first is my personal breakdown, and the second is a collection I've put together of the best breakdowns on the site. You can see what materials seem to work best and go from there!

I used the 10-test version of Crack PAT. The PAT on my actual test, though, was much harder than Crack. People seem to have mixed experiences with this.

Hello,
1) DAT is offered year round. You'll need a DENTPIN to apply to take the DAT and you can find out more about your local testing center and the testing dates when you're registering for the exam @ prometric.

2) I don't know what company you're referring to, but archiever offers full length exams.

3) Chad's videos = the best chemistry review there is.

4) I have the royalflush ed.

5) I also use crackdat reading.

Does the Achiever resemble the actual DAT? I don't mean the questions, but rather the way the program is set up on a computer? How similar is the layout to the actual exam?

Also, are there practice tests that are offered directly from ada? I know there is one that is available and you can watch the tutorial but are there more?
