Hey guys,

I've been kind of unsure with some of the rules of the keyhole questions and would really appreciate any help with a question such as this one I've posted. For these questions when there is a hole in the key do you need the keyhole to provide a solid hole for it also or can the keyhole just be enough to fit the whole shape in (not sure if that was worded clearly) but basically I'm asking if it was A vs B which one could it be...? To me it looks like it could be A B or D...... on dat Qvault the correct answer it D..... 😕

Thanks!

I think It is D.

A, no hole, wrong.
B, the junction of the left and right is wrong
C, no corner slope
E, no corner slope

D, right

datthirty is correct in his/her explanations. It is D.

In regards to your question about holes in the key, if there is a hole in the key then there needs to be a complimentary solid piece in the keyhole. So while the key fits A perfectly (as far as the outside edge goes), there is no solid piece to fit into the hole of the key so it is wrong.
