not necessarily. the questions can be about any part of the passage in any order. you may find yourself answering a "tone" question followed by a content question from the first paragraph.

it seems that most people on SDN really like the search and destroy method, but i personally don't like it (though i've seen some people score upwards of a 28 using it). i like the "Kaplan method" because it helps you decipher the tone of the passage.

I don't like search and destroy, although i used it a couple times when the question asked for a specific fact that i knew was search and destroyable but didn't remember where it was exactly (like what does ABC do).

Overall, I just read the passages 2-3 paragraphs at a time, and keep about 1 or 2 questions in ymy head. By the time you're done with question 10, you would have read the entire passage and certain parts multiple times. The last 7 questions should go by very quickly since you will have an excellent idea of where the answers will be located. It's like search and destroy, but limited to 1-2 paragraphs because you already know the answer will be in that 1-2 paragraph area.

You really don't need to fully understand what you're reading, you just need get enough of an idea to remember where everything is located so you can go back to those aread when needed.
