I was told that I need to notify the schools I sent my scores to and let them know that I will be re-taking the DAT. Should I do this and if I should, who do I contact?

I'm not sure so maybe someone else who knows can answer, but I think just call the admissions office of your schools.

If you havn't sent in your supplemental apps or checks yet, you could always write a letter to each school telling them about your situation.

im in that same boat. i just finished mine, but i am definitely taking a retake, however im not applying til next cycle. so i just send a letter to each school i originally intended to apply to and let them know?

If you're not applying this semester, I don't think you would have to let them know. In the aadsas application under the DAT tab, you could tell them your future DAT test date, when you apply next cycle.
