I wasn't born the in US, so my legal name in America is a romanization of my Chinese name. My first name in Chinese has two characters, and my last name has one character. In English, this comes out to be Xiao Lan Chen. However, some computer systems in the US interpret this as me having a middle name (Lan), so they've combined my name to be Xiaolan Chen (I dont' have a middle name). This is how my name appears on my driver's licence, school IDs and transcripts, and how I sign my legal documents and credit cards. However, my Social Security Card and Green Card have my name as "Xiao Lan Chen." They still recognize "Xiao Lan" as my first name, there's just a space in between them
On my application, I used Xiaolan Chen.
Will this prevent Prometric from allowing me to take my test? Or should I just avoid bringing IDs that use the space between my first name?
tldr: does Xiaolan Chen and Xiao Lan Chen count as the same name for Prometric?
