Hi,
I am planning to apply for dental school this year. I am studying for DAT right now, and I would like to take it in 2 or 3 months. Can anybody tell me how many months or weeks before taking the exam I have to register for it?
My other question is that what will I need for registration? Any transcripts or degrees to send?

From registration you have 6 months to take it, you can schedule any test date during that period as long as there is availability at a test center. It is better to register earlier than later because seats will be available and you have the chance to pick and choose when you want to take it.

You don't need anything to register, only a credit card and a DENTPIN.

I'm wondering the same thing. Is there a recommended period of time to register prior to the exam? Say 1-2 months before the exam for example. I'm still doing content review and haven't taken a practice test yet so I don't want to set a date until I know where I stand.

I would say give yourself a good 2 to 3 months. If you feel like that's not enough, you can always change the date. But I think you can register for the next possible day if you think you are ready, once they give you the permission.

Doe sit matter when I create a DENTPIN? Can I do it right now. I am going to apply for DAT in a few months. How long does it take for them to process and issue a DENTPIN to me?

You can do it now or before you register, if I remember its instant.
