DAT results! lmk what you guys think!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
For the sciences I used the KBB to review all the material, I read through it once highlighting and taking notes on the margins, and then I read it a second time focusing on highlights and notes. Then I tried doing practice problems but reading from the book didn't really prepare me for actual problem solving. So I got Chad's for chem and orgo and he makes all the material so much more simpler to understand. The most practice however was the DAT Destroyer, I went through it once and went over my mistakes taking notes on not only the correct answers but also the incorrect answer choices (for Bio).

For the RC, the only practice I got was from any of the practice tests that I took (Kaplan, Bootcamp test 1, ada2007, ada2009) so I am a little surprised at my score since I did not prepare for this section at all. I did use the mapping method, where I mapped out the passage in about 7 min and then used 13 min to answer questions and that worked for me!

Those scores are excellent! From what I've found, QR is the score that schools care the least about (story of my life, it's my strongest subject on my practice exams).
I recommend purchasing the ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools, it will help you narrow down where you are the most competitive. I bought it, and being from Arkansas, a state lacking a dental school, it's helped me decide where I feel I qualify and the number of students accepted from my state. http://www.adea.org/publications/Pages/OfficialGuide.aspx
It's a small investment for your future, as I've told myself purchasing numerous DAT study materials... Not to mention it will help your choice of the type of school you want to attend, whether it be one focused on research, clinical skills, etc.
Best of luck to you in your application procedure, and congratulations on those scores (especially that 20 PAT)!
