I have already submitted my aadsas application.
Should I update my application with my planned DAT retake in september?
Will it delay my application review?
Do you think it's smarter to update so schools don't reject me based off my 18AA;19TS?
or should I not update and just hope that schools consider me?

I would appreciate your genuine advice.

I took my dat recently and didn't do as well.
18AA
19TS

GPA:3.4 science

That didn't answer my questions but thanks for your feedback anyways.
I am planning a retake and I know I need to. The advice I needed was if I should update schools on my retake and if that would delay my application review? etc

If your application has been submitted, schools will take a look at it. They are not just going to toss it right away. As "low" as your scores may feel, there are plenty of people with lower scores in both the DAT and GPA. I think depending on your experiences and other parts of your application, you still have a shot.

What are your individual section scores? That may make a difference.

I want to retake it but I'm worried about how schools will review my application.
will they wait for my new score?
will they go off of my recent score?
will I have a better chance at post December interviews once I retake it in September?

If I update my application and enter my planned dat in september will the schools wait for that score then instead of going off my recent scores?

So I think you still have a chance. I'm not sure I would recommend retaking right away. I'd wait a little while and see what happens in the cycle.

In terms of your questions: schools treat multiple test takers differently. Please see this thread to get an idea for each school:
2017 DAT Deadlines/Age of DAT/Multiple Scores/Canadian/Consideration Without DAT Scores

Maybe if you haven't heard anything by November or so, then you should think about retaking the DAT. If you retake in the middle of January or so and score very well, you would still have a pretty strong chance of admission if you haven't heard anything before then.

Thanks! I appreciate your advice. I just felt like I screwed myself over bc the earliest I can retake my DAT is Sept 6.

List your planned retake ASAP. Some may review it nor anyway and some may wait, but letting them know you have new scores coming isn't going to hurt since your current score is on the lower end anyway.
