DAT retake: How long will it be before I start hearing from schools

Hey guys I first took my DAT in July right after my college baseball season finished up and scored a 17/15/21. I wasn't at all happy with my scores, but hey I didn't study so oh well. I decided to go ahead and apply just so I would have my name in the system and retake the DAT in November after studying. I took the DAT on November 4 and my breakdown was:

Bio: 18
Gchem:20
Ochem:20
PAT:21
RC:23
QR:22
TS:19
AA:21

I went ahead and contacted the ADA and made sure they sent the official results to all the schools that I have applied to (Alabama, ASDOH, Midwestern-AZ, Maryland, MUSC, Louisville, NOVA, Creighton, Marquette, Temple, Pitt).

My question is how long will it take for me to hear back from these schools about interviews for the 2011 cycle?

I am an Alabama resident

GPA: 3.7
sGPA: 3.63
BCP: 3.43

-I currently involved in my 4th year of playing Division I baseball
-I have over 100 hours of shadowing (ortho, general, pediatric, OS)
-I am involved in many different leadership groups on campus (SAAC, ODK, FCA)
-DI Athletic Conference Leadership Award winner
-I have spent countless hours volunteering and working Christian camps around the Southeast

Honestly, your late application is really going to slim your chances of getting interviews. It seems like a lot of schools are just waiting until after December 1 to give out more interviews. I would say you would hopefully start hearing back in January maybe, if there are spots left.

O btw I should add that I have completed all supplemental applications, and had contacted the schools prior to my retake that I would be taking it again Nov. 4. So really all the schools needed to do was review my file with the new DAT scores.

excellent job on the dat! you have great stats also, the problem is that although you submitted early, most seats will be filled after the first round of acceptances december 1st. i am sure you busted *** to get that dat score and i am positive that if you reapply day 1 next cycle you will get many interviews. i hope that you WILL get interviews post dec. but since the competition is fierce dont be surprised if you dont hear anything. wont you have a better chance at alabama? ps, if you call the schools to let them know about the retake, they wont touch your application until it's complete with your new dat scores, there is a seperate "waiting for new dat scores pile". good luck!

i think you'll hear from schools for post-dec 1st interviews. your application is great. i know what its like playing d1 sport and trying to maintain a high gpa and you certainly did that. good luck!

I agree with Erhatstil. Some schools won't even look at your application until thay have the new DAT scores. But you did a really good job with the new DAT scores. You might receive some interviews post-dec. Good Luck!!!
