DAT retake? Scores for 1st and 2nd Exam

i took ALL of MY SCIENCE CLASSES in a COMMUNITY COLLEGE (4.0 GPA) to try to save money. I didn't know that this could be a draw back for me when i apply for dental schools. I have a 3.9 total GPA , 4.0 major GPA and 4.0 science GPA . Been working at a dental office as an assistant for a year now after graduating with Bachelor in Business Magmet. Have 200+ volunteer and had 2 research experiences.

My DAT wasn't too good:

Last year:
PAT 16
RC 16
QR 18
Bio 19
Gen Ch 19
Organ 21
TOtal Science 20
AA 19


This year:
PAT 22
QR 22
RC19
Bio 19
Gen Ch : 16 thumbdown
Organ 23
TOtal Science 19
AA 20


Here is the problem: last year, i have applied to 15 schools, get rejected to 10 schools, had 2 pre-dec interviews and was put on wait-list ( one is my dream state school), and 3 unknown ( prob rejection soon).

What are my chances this year? Should i retake again for the third time? I am so exhausted! I have used Top scores, CDP, Chad's video, AP Bio, and i don't know what else I need to use now..

any input will be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

I think the reason why you didn't get many interviews is the fact that you did NOT continue taking upper level science classes at the university.

you should be good this year though.

Do you think I should retake DAT again hopefully to bring up my Chemistry score ? but I am scared if schools will not receive them before December 1st decision and if I my other sections' scores will not drop.

although you have a really high GPA, as you know that is because you went to a CC.
I think many dental school rejected you because many of them do not accept CC classes at all.
I am not sure but I think you might want to contact the dental schools to make sure, but I guess you will have to retake all the pre-requisite courses in a university.
also your overall DAT score is not bad, actually it is a little above the average, but because your GC score is 16, you will even not be able to apply in some school which have a cutoff score 17 ( I think).
Unfortunately I guess you will have to retake your DAT too.
I don't know when you took your 2nd DAT, but if you took it on August you will have to wait 3 months, which means the earliest date you can retake your DAT is November. As you were concerned, dental schools might not even see your 3rd DAT and reject you or so... why don't you take a time and wait another year?

all I said is my opinion, you don't have to listen to me, I am not an expert.

you'll be OK don't worry. There is NO point on taking the DAT again. Just apply to more schools.

There are several schools that won't acknowledge the pre-reqs from a cc college, i would check

Only 3 schools don't accept prereqs at CC. Temple, Tufts, and boston.

However, I still heard some people got into those schools with some CC prereqs.

Just wait until the end of the cycle I guess. There is no way for sure to tell if your GC is holding you back at this point.
Besides that, your GC score is not really indicating your ability to 4.0 on sciences, so IMO might raise eyebrows at some adcoms, although is not really important compared to other sections of DAT.
Just my 2 cents...
